The GWD-Type truss prefabricated bridge originated in Germany and was introduced into China for mass production through the analysis of its structure by Great Wall engineers.

The introduction of GWD-Type truss prefabricated bridge stems from the technical barriers and deficiencies of Bailey Bridge. As is known to all, Bailey Bridge is a common prefabricated steel bridge structure, which is the upper and lower bearing bridge beam with the single pin connecting truss unit as the main beam of the bridge span structure, which has the advantages of simple structure, strong adaptability and good interchangeability. But even if the load is not large, it can only reach 60 meters per single span.

Therefore, Great Wall Heavy Industry launched the GWD-Type bridge. Although the truss adopts larger steel, the structure is simpler, which not only has the advantage of strong adaptability of prefabricated Bailey steel bridge, but also makes up for the limit of span, improves the length of single span and saves the cost of bridge pier.

Bailey bridge is a type of portable, pre-fabricated, truss bridge.t was developed by Donald Coleman Bailey for emergency use.During 1980s,it was introduced to China From UK.

Bailey bridge is standard bridge equipment,adopted extensively and the most popular in the world,possessing the features of simple structure,convenient transport,speedy erection and easy disassembling.While having the advantage of heavy loading capacity,great stability and long fatigue life being capable of an alternative span,long capacity and mixture form to erect all kinds and usage of temporary bridges,emergency bridges and fixed bridges.The bridge has the advantages of few components,light weight and low cost.

We have three producing lines to manufacture Compact-100 and Compact-200

The surface disposal is painting,galvanized or anti-skid wearing such as a polyurethane bonded bauxite chip system or similar according to the requirement.
It is suitable for the load designs of HS-15,HS-20,HS-25,HL-93 and pedrail-50 etc.

Examine if any cracks found on the abutments and the river embankment is in good condition

If there are small cracks found on the abutments, use cement mortar to fill the crack to prevent erosion of the reinforcing bars inside the abutments. If there is damaged of the embankment, application of a mixture of cement mortar with scribbles to fill the cracks
